When you register interest in the K2i Foundation 30 or contact us, we may collect information such as your first and last name, company name, email address, mobile number, trade or industry, approximate employee range, business website, enquiry details and communications with us. We may also receive ordinary technical information generated when you use a website, such as browser or device information and basic server or security logs.

We generally collect personal information directly from you when you submit a form, contact us, respond to us or otherwise deal with K2i. We may also review publicly available business information, including a business website and professional or industry information, so that we can understand a Foundation 30 applicant’s business before contacting them.

We may use personal information to:

• receive and assess Foundation 30 registrations;
• contact you about your registration and the K2i controlled launch;
• understand your business and whether K2i may be relevant;
• respond to enquiries;
• maintain sales and relationship records;
• operate, protect and improve the public website;
• prevent spam, misuse or security incidents; and
• comply with legal, regulatory or accounting obligations.

If you submit a Foundation 30 registration, you are asking K2i to contact you about that registration and relevant Foundation 30 or K2i launch updates. You can ask us at any time to stop sending promotional electronic messages. Any commercial electronic messages we send will include the sender’s identity and a practical way to opt out where required by law.

Foundation 30 information is sent to K2i’s internal Sales and Customer Journey system and may also be retained as a secure backup or audit record in the website’s cloud database. K2i uses third-party technology and hosting providers to operate the website and its systems. These providers may process or store information on K2i’s behalf, subject to their own security and privacy arrangements. We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law, to professional advisers, or in connection with protecting K2i’s legal rights.

Some technology, cloud, hosting or support providers used by K2i may process or store information outside Australia. The location can vary depending on the provider and service configuration. Where applicable, K2i will take reasonable steps consistent with Australian privacy law in relation to overseas handling of personal information.

The current public site does not intentionally use advertising pixels or marketing analytics trackers. The website is hosted through third-party infrastructure and may use essential platform, hosting, security or performance technologies. External resources such as web fonts may cause a visitor’s browser to connect to third-party providers. If K2i later introduces analytics, advertising pixels or materially different tracking, this policy will be updated.

K2i takes reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No internet or cloud system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and K2i does not make an absolute security guarantee.

You may ask for access to personal information K2i holds about you, or ask us to correct information that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading. Contact mark@k2i.com.au. We may need to verify your identity before dealing with a request.

K2i retains personal information only for as long as reasonably required for the purpose for which it was collected, ongoing business or relationship records, legal obligations, dispute handling, security, backup and legitimate business needs. Information may be securely deleted or de-identified when it is no longer reasonably required, subject to applicable legal requirements.

If you have a question or complaint about how K2i has handled personal information, contact mark@k2i.com.au and provide enough detail for us to investigate. We will aim to acknowledge and deal with the matter within a reasonable period. If Australian privacy law gives you a right to take a complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, you may do so after giving K2i a reasonable opportunity to respond.

K2i may update this policy as the public launch and K2i services develop. The current version will be published on this website with its last updated date.
